I recommend these binoculars from the RSPB. They have a nice high quality 'feel' and they are lightweight and waterproof. They give a very clear image and it has really good close focus of under 3m. The image is bright, however the field of view could be higher, as it is only 6.1 degrees. A great pair of binoculars for woodland birdwatching and as an everyday pair.
